Dharmendra Pradhan Speaks Out After Resignation

Nearly two weeks after resigning from his position as the Union Education Minister, prominent BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan has openly discussed the situation for the first time. He stated that during the protests related to the NEET paper leak controversy, there were attempts to incite and mislead the youth. Pradhan emphasized that the ministerial role has never been more significant to him than the aspirations of the country's youth.

Engagement with Students at GM University

While interacting with students and faculty at GM University, Pradhan remarked that Generation Z represents the future of the nation, possessing their own thoughts and dreams. He pointed out that certain individuals attempted to exploit the NEET controversy to misguide the youth. Pradhan revealed that he personally discussed his resignation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ultimately stepping down on July 25.

Resignation Not a Personal Matter

Pradhan expressed that he views Generation Z as akin to his own children. For him, the role of Education Minister was never a personal concern; rather, the hopes of the youth were paramount. Following the NEET paper leak, students had staged a significant protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, demanding the resignation of the education minister, the establishment of stringent laws to prevent paper leaks, and improvements to the examination system. This pressure led to his resignation on July 25.

Criticism of Naveen Patnaik

During an event in Odisha, Dharmendra Pradhan targeted former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, accusing him of utilizing youth in protests against him. In response to slogans from BJD workers in Rayagada demanding his departure, he asserted that he is not intimidated by such protests. As a farmer's son, he vowed to uphold the dignity of Odisha through his work.
