Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School in Dharamshala has proudly shared the remarkable accomplishments of its students in various recent sports competitions.
Principal Mrs. Meenakshi Gautam highlighted that student Priya Sharma achieved significant success by winning gold medals in both Under-15 badminton singles and doubles at a national championship hosted by the United Indian Sports Foundation. Additionally, she earned a silver medal in the Under-17 category, further enhancing the school's reputation.
In the same championship, Pragun Hans showcased his skills by securing a silver medal in Under-15 badminton, demonstrating exceptional talent and perseverance.
At the district-level athletics meet, student Srishti Nadda excelled in track and field events, clinching gold medals in the 60m, 600m, long jump, and high jump. Another student, Amayra, also distinguished herself by winning a bronze medal in the 60m sprint.
During a recent school assembly, Principal Mrs. Gautam recognized the achievements of these young athletes and expressed her gratitude to teachers Mr. Rajat Kumar and Mr. Kapil Kumar for their unwavering support. She also acknowledged District Sports Officer Mr. Ravi Shankar for his efforts in organizing events that motivate students to excel in sports.
