DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews Security Measures in Awantipora
Comprehensive Security Review Meeting Held
On Saturday, the Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat led an extensive review meeting in Awantipora, focusing on the current security landscape, anti-terrorism operations, and overall law enforcement. According to a statement released by the Jammu and Kashmir police, the meeting included Special Director General Coordination, PHQ Jammu-Kashmir, SJM Gillani-IPS, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, VK Birdi-IPS, and DIG SKR Javed Iqbal Mattu-IPS.
Key Officials Attend the Meeting
The review session took place at the Awantipora district police office, attended by senior officials including the SSP of Awantipora, Additional SP, all SDPOs, and Deputy SPs from the SOG. During the meeting, the DGP conducted a thorough assessment of the current security situation, with a particular focus on ongoing anti-terrorism efforts, both dynamic and static. He also evaluated measures being implemented to curb drug abuse and other criminal activities within the Awantipora police district.
Emphasis on Strengthening Anti-Crime Campaigns
The DGP stressed the need to intensify campaigns against anti-national elements, drug trafficking, and crime. He instructed officials to take stringent and effective actions against individuals involved in such illegal activities and urged them to remain vigilant, disciplined, and proactive in their respective areas of responsibility.
