IndiGo Executives Granted Extra Time by DGCA

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted an extension to IndiGo's CEO, Peter Elbers, and Accountability Manager, Isdro Porqueras, allowing them more time to respond to a 'show cause notice' regarding flight disruptions.

A senior official indicated that both executives have been given an additional 24 hours, with a new deadline set for Monday at 6 PM.

IndiGo has faced significant operational disruptions over the past six days, causing considerable inconvenience for thousands of passengers. This situation prompted the regulatory body to issue the notice.

According to the official, the notice issued on Saturday required Elbers and Porqueras to submit their responses by Sunday evening. However, following a request from the airline's executives, the deadline has now been extended. Official sources confirmed that both officials sought extra time to prepare their responses on Sunday.
