On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa visited the Regional Office of the Tea Board of India located in Palampur. During his visit, he engaged in comprehensive discussions with officials about enhancing tea tourism in the area. He urged the Tea Board to collaborate with the Agriculture Department's Tea Wing to set up training sessions for tea cultivators.


During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significant potential for tea tourism in Palampur, suggesting that institutional efforts could greatly enhance this sector. He also stressed the importance of integrating modern techniques for tea growers and boosting local job opportunities.


Prior to this, the Deputy Commissioner conducted an inspection of the Tehsil Office in Palampur, where he assessed the administrative operations. He instructed officials to ensure that revenue-related issues are resolved promptly to avoid inconveniences for the public. Additionally, he called for the swift resolution of all outstanding matters.


Accompanying him during the visit were SDM Palampur Netra Meti, Tehsildar Sajan Bagga, Factory Advisor Officer of the Tea Board of India Hemchandra Agrawal, Development Officer A. Karthikeyan, and Technical Officer (Tea) Sunil Patial from the Agriculture Department.
