The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the city on Friday, warning residents of potential rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.


On Friday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.3 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees below the seasonal average. At 8:30 AM, the relative humidity was noted at 69 percent.


Cloudy skies and moderate rainfall are expected throughout the day, with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, the orange alert serves as a reminder for residents to stay vigilant and prepare for possible changes in weather conditions.


As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 171 at 9 AM, categorizing it as 'moderate.' The CPCB defines AQI levels as follows: 0-50 is 'good,' 51-100 is 'satisfactory,' 101-200 is 'moderate,' 201-300 is 'poor,' 301-400 is 'very poor,' and 401-500 is 'severe.'
