Weather Conditions in Delhi

On Friday morning, Delhi experienced a humid start, with clouds lingering throughout the day, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather agency has predicted thunderstorms and rain for the day ahead.


Temperature Readings

According to the IMD, the minimum temperature recorded at Safdarjung Observatory was 24 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees below the normal range. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.


Humidity and Rainfall Data

The morning bulletin from IMD indicated that relative humidity was at 91 percent at 8:30 AM. Other weather stations reported varying temperatures and rainfall, with Palam Observatory noting a minimum temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius and 79.2 mm of rain.


Additional Weather Observations

The bulletin also mentioned that the temperature at Ridge was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius with 34.7 mm of rainfall, while Ayanagar reported 25.7 degrees Celsius and 51.5 mm of rain. Lodhi Road recorded a temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius along with 9.5 mm of rainfall.


Air Quality Index

As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was noted at 56 on Friday morning, categorizing the air quality as 'satisfactory'. The CPCB defines AQI levels: 0-50 as 'good', 51-100 as 'satisfactory', 101-200 as 'moderate', 201-300 as 'poor', 301-400 as 'very poor', and 401-500 as 'severe'.
