New Leadership for Delhi Toofans

The Delhi Toofans have announced the appointment of Fabio Menta as their new Head Coach, ushering in a fresh chapter for the team as they gear up for the fifth season of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL).

This decision comes at a pivotal moment for the franchise, following the recent player auction for Season 5 and just ahead of the league's start date on November 30. With the PVL now recognized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) as India's premier professional volleyball league, the upcoming season is poised to enhance opportunities for Indian players to compete alongside global talent.

Fabio Menta's Extensive Coaching Experience

Bringing over 20 years of coaching experience, Fabio Menta has worked with professional clubs, national teams, and international development programs across Europe, Asia, and Oceania. He holds a FIVB Level II coaching certification and is a coach educator affiliated with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), FIVB, and Oceania Volleyball.

His coaching journey includes notable achievements such as winning a national championship in the Bahamas, securing a bronze in the Italian Cup, and finishing third at the Suomen Cup in Finland. Recently, he contributed to Creamline's three-title success in the Philippine Pro League in 2025 and assisted ZUS Coffee in winning a silver medal in 2026, while also leading Letran College to an NCAA gold medal.

Delhi Toofans' Ambitions for Continued Success

The Delhi Toofans have established a solid competitive base in the PVL, having reached the finals in their inaugural season in 2024. The franchise is now focused on converting that initial success into consistent performances as the league gains prominence and attracts more players, coaches, and fans.

Fabio Menta's Vision for the Team

Expressing his enthusiasm, Fabio Menta stated, "I am thrilled to join Delhi Toofans at such an exciting point in the franchise's journey. The team's achievement in reaching the Prime Volleyball League final showcases its potential, providing a robust foundation for future growth. I look forward to collaborating with the players and support staff to integrate technical discipline, tactical insight, physical readiness, and a strong team spirit. My goal is to foster an environment where players can enhance their skills, compete confidently, and perform collectively at their peak. I am eager for the upcoming season and the chance to contribute to the aspirations of Delhi Toofans."

With the team now assembled and Menta at the helm, the Delhi Toofans will focus on enhancing team cohesion, refining their tactical strategies, and preparing for the challenges of the new season. As Indian volleyball enters a phase of increased professionalism and global interaction, the franchise aims to leverage the upcoming season to solidify its competitive identity and create an environment conducive to player excellence, paving the way for the next milestone in their journey.
