Delhi Residents Get Chance to Clear Old Traffic Fines at National Lok Adalat
Opportunity for Delhi Residents
Residents of Delhi will have a unique opportunity to settle their old traffic fines. On Saturday, January 10, 2026, all district courts in the capital will host a 'National Lok Adalat'. During this event, minor traffic violations (e-challans) will be resolved on-site.
Traffic Violations Eligible for Relief
The Lok Adalat will only address those fines that have been submitted to virtual courts by September 30, 2025. This includes violations such as speeding, running red lights, driving without a helmet or seatbelt, improper parking, operating a vehicle without a PUC certificate, lacking a number plate, or breaking traffic signals.
Exclusions from the Lok Adalat
It is important to note that cases involving driving under the influence, hit-and-run incidents, driving by minors, and serious criminal offenses will not be handled during this event.
