Delhi Police Calls for Peace During Protests
In light of the allegations surrounding the NEET exam paper leak, the 'Cockroach People’s Party' (CJP) has been actively protesting. On Monday, the Delhi police appealed for peace and restraint. Authorities urged demonstrators to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to legal orders to maintain public order. In a statement shared on X, the official account of the Delhi police requested everyone to uphold peace and avoid any unlawful or violent actions.
The police emphasized the importance of maintaining calm, exercising restraint, and assisting law enforcement in preserving peace and order. They urged all individuals to behave peacefully, refrain from engaging in any illegal or violent activities, and follow the legal directives issued by police officers on duty.
Additionally, the police warned against spreading rumors or unverified information, advising citizens to rely solely on credible sources and support the police in maintaining peace and security.
Earlier, Saurav Das, the spokesperson for CJP, stated that the party had presented three demands to Union Health Minister JP Nadda: the immediate release of activist Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and a compensation of 1 crore rupees for the families of over 20 students who have died while preparing for NEET. Das mentioned that protests would continue until their demands are met.
