Police Operation Against Drugging Gang
In a significant operation, the Delhi Police has dismantled an organized gang that was drugging individuals by mixing narcotics into cold drinks to facilitate theft. Authorities have apprehended two suspects, while efforts to locate their accomplices are ongoing. Following this operation, three incidents linked to the gang have also been uncovered.
According to police reports, this gang employed cunning tactics to target victims. The suspects would first befriend individuals and then secretly add drugs to their cold drinks or other beverages. Once the victims became incapacitated or semi-conscious, the gang would steal their mobile phones, cash, and other valuables.
During the investigation, police noticed a consistent pattern in several cases, prompting the formation of a special team to identify and monitor the suspects. Utilizing technical evidence and CCTV footage, law enforcement successfully detained two individuals who later confessed to their involvement in the gang's activities during questioning.
Police officials revealed that suspicious items, including mobile phones and other electronic devices, were recovered from the arrested suspects. Initial investigations indicated that gang members operated in various neighborhoods and frequently changed their locations to evade capture.
The police have also linked three theft incidents to this gang, where victims were drugged before being robbed. Authorities are now searching for additional members of this network and are investigating whether it is part of a larger criminal organization.
The Delhi Police has urged the public to exercise caution when interacting with strangers or accepting food and beverages from them. They have advised that any suspicious activities should be reported immediately to the nearest police station.
