Major Operation Against Illegal Kite String Trade

The Special Team of the Central District Police has successfully dismantled a significant racket linked to the illegal storage and sale of banned Chinese kite string. During the operation, authorities apprehended one suspect and seized 424 packaged reels of the prohibited string. This stock was reportedly intended for illegal sale within the capital. A case has been registered under relevant legal provisions, and investigations are ongoing to trace the supply sources and identify other individuals involved in the racket. According to the Delhi Police, efforts are underway to eliminate the entire supply chain of the banned kite string, which poses serious threats to human lives, as well as to birds and public safety.

Tragic Incident of Maternal Violence

In a separate incident, Delhi Police have arrested an individual accused of murdering his 60-year-old mother in Kharkhda village, Uttar Pradesh Colony. The police reported that the suspect allegedly killed his mother after she refused to give him money to buy alcohol. Authorities received a PCR call regarding the murder of a woman in the area, prompting immediate police response. Upon arrival, they found the victim, identified as Chinta Devi, injured inside her home. She was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by doctors.

Investigation Underway in Maternal Murder Case

The Crime Team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) conducted an investigation at the scene, collecting essential evidence. During the inquiry, it was revealed that the woman's younger son, Amod, allegedly assaulted her after she denied him money for alcohol. The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law and have commenced an investigation.
