New Protest Sites Designated by Delhi Police
New Delhi: The Delhi Police has officially removed Jantar Mantar from its list of approved protest sites and has introduced three alternative locations for public demonstrations, as per a recent directive.
On October 11, Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar announced the new designated areas: Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground located in East Delhi.
This decision comes in response to increased security measures in the capital, prompted by calls for protests at the previously designated site of Jantar Mantar.
