Teen Girl Goes Missing in Delhi

New Delhi. In the bustling capital of India, Delhi, incidents occur daily. The city often witnesses gang wars, thefts, and various crimes against women. Recently, there has been a concerning trend of underage girls from prominent schools running away from home. The Delhi Police handle numerous such cases daily, often involving romantic relationships or teenage girls leaving home due to disagreements with their parents. In some instances, these girls have even eloped with their drivers. On Wednesday, the police resolved a case involving a 16-year-old girl who had been missing for ten days.

The girl had fallen into bad company with a schoolmate. Her behavior at home became increasingly troubling, prompting her parents to confront her. After a stern discussion, the girl, who spent hours on her phone talking to her friend after school, decided to leave home. Her sudden disappearance left her parents shocked.

Teen's Troubling Behavior Leads to Disappearance
The girl's father filed a missing person report at the Budh Vihar police station in Rohini. The Delhi Police were puzzled about how a 9th-grade student could vanish. Following the filing of the FIR on January 11, the Budh Vihar station transferred the case to the Crime Branch. Under the leadership of Inspector Manoj Dahiya, the team began their investigation, uncovering more details about the girl.

The Crime Branch collected information from the school, fellow students, and informants. After considerable effort, they located the girl in Rohini Sector-24. Investigations revealed that she had run away for the boy she frequently spoke to on her phone. The police also spoke to the boy's parents. Eventually, the girl was safely returned to her family. Additionally, the Delhi Police successfully recovered another missing 15-year-old girl from Mundka, who had also left home due to parental disputes. She was found at New Delhi Railway Station and reunited with her family.
