Delhi Police Intervenes: Abhijeet Dipke's Protest Plans Halted

In a recent development, Delhi Police has taken action against Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, by serving him a notice that prohibits his planned protest in Connaught Place. The protest, titled 'Lehra Do Tiranga', was set to take place at Central Park. With over 6,000 police personnel deployed, authorities cited prohibitory orders under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita as the reason for denying permission. Instead, a limited group of protesters may be allowed to wave the national flag at an alternative site. Central Park will also be closed to the public for administrative reasons.

Police Action Against Planned Protest

New Delhi: In a significant move, over 20 officers from the Delhi Police visited the home of Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, to deliver a notice prohibiting him from conducting a protest in Connaught Place. This action took place just hours before the scheduled start of the march.

The protest, titled 'Lehra Do Tiranga', was set to commence at Central Park in Connaught Place at 5 PM.

To maintain order, the Delhi Police have deployed more than 6,000 personnel along with 220 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) in the New Delhi area.

Authorities have denied permission for the march, referencing prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which restrict mass gatherings in Connaught Place and nearby regions.

Instead, police have proposed to allow a limited number of protesters to display the national flag at a different location.

Additionally, the New Delhi Municipal Council has announced that Central Park will be closed to the public on Friday and Saturday for administrative purposes.
