Reported By Vimal Kaushik

Following the arrest of Qasim, an alleged spy for the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the Mewat region of Rajasthan, the Delhi Police Special Cell has now apprehended his brother, Asim. He was taken into custody in Deeg, Rajasthan, although no formal charges have been filed against him yet. Asim is believed to have connections to the Pakistani intelligence agency.

Sources indicate that Asim is currently undergoing interrogation to determine if he had previously engaged in espionage activities for Pakistan. Qasim, a 34-year-old Maulvi, reportedly became involved with the ISI through his brother. Allegations suggest that he received approximately 200,000 Pakistani Rupees (around INR 6,100) in multiple payments from Pakistan in exchange for intelligence.

Initial investigations suggest that Qasim entered India from Pakistan just a week prior to the Pahalgam terror attack. It has been reported that he has family ties in Pakistan, which he allegedly used to facilitate his travel and establish contact with the ISI.
