Joint Operation Leads to Arrest of Wanted Criminal

Authorities have reported that the Anti-Gangster Squad (AGS) of the Delhi Crime Branch, in collaboration with Rajasthan police, has apprehended a wanted sharpshooter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The suspect, identified as Pradeep Sharma, also known as Golu, is a 23-year-old resident of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. He was captured on January 16, 2026, in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, based on specific intelligence. Following interrogation, he was handed over to Rajasthan police for further investigation. According to police sources, Sharma was wanted in several cases in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. In March 2025, the gang allegedly demanded a ransom of ₹4 crore from a businessman. When the payment was not made, Sharma was tasked with shooting at the businessman's residence.

Continued Criminal Activities and Arrests

In May 2025, Sharma and his associates reportedly opened fire at the businessman's home, leading to a police report. Despite being released on bail, he remained affiliated with the gang and began supplying illegal weapons and ammunition to the Lawrence Bishnoi group. Recently, Rajasthan police seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition, with Sharma being identified as a source for these weapons. The arrest was made during a raid in Uttam Nagar by the Delhi Crime Branch, which confirmed that Sharma was an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, operating within Rajasthan.
