On Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a tree planting campaign in the RK Puram area of Delhi. The initiative aims to plant 7 million trees across the National Capital Region. During her speech, the Chief Minister announced the commencement of the 'Eco Restoration Mega Plantation Drive 2026'. This campaign is designed to honor nature and restore greenery, particularly in areas that require revitalization. During the launch, the Chief Minister expressed her delight at the start of the campaign to plant 7 million saplings in Delhi. Earlier, on July 6, he participated in the fifth anniversary celebration of the Ministry of Cooperation at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
