Chief Minister's Commitment to Pollution Control
Rekha Gupta, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has assured residents that the government is actively addressing pollution in the national capital on multiple fronts. She emphasized that the battle against pollution in Delhi is ongoing and operates in mission mode. Speaking to reporters, Gupta mentioned that efforts are underway to install mist systems on electricity poles to aid in reducing pollution levels. She reiterated that the fight against pollution is relentless, tackling smoke, dust, vehicle emissions, open waste burning, and wood burning, all of which contribute to the air pollution layer.
Innovative Measures for Cleaner Roads
Gupta highlighted that the Delhi government is addressing every factor contributing to pollution. The installation of mist systems on electricity poles is part of a broader strategy. In a post on social media, she revealed that hundreds of sprinklers are being utilized to clean the city's ring road. This regular cleaning is crucial in reducing dust and pollution, playing a significant role in maintaining air quality.
Community Involvement in Pollution Control
For the first time, hundreds of sprinkler vehicles are being deployed to clean the ring road in Delhi. Gupta stated, "Our mission is collective - controlling pollution. Our government is fully alert and committed to fighting pollution at all levels." The regular cleaning of roads using these sprinkler vehicles is a proactive step towards improving air quality and reflects the government's determination to provide citizens with a cleaner environment.
Participation in Road Cleaning Campaign
Earlier today, Chief Minister Gupta participated in a road cleaning and washing campaign organized by the Public Works Department at Khyber Pass Chowk in Civil Lines.
