Government Steps Up Festival Arrangements in Delhi

Delhi. The Delhi government is ramping up preparations for major upcoming festivals, including Ramleela, Durga Puja, and Chhath Puja. To ensure better facilities for devotees and to manage events smoothly, three distinct committees have been established, assigning responsibilities to ministers and legislators.

Objective of the Committees

The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance the management of large-scale events during the festivals. These committees will coordinate between various departments and organizers to address preparations, arrangements, and local issues that may arise.

Dedicated Committees for Each Festival

During Ramleela, large stages and religious programs are held across different areas of Delhi, attracting numerous devotees and spectators. Special attention will be given to crowd management, cleanliness, electricity, water supply, and other essential arrangements.

Special Preparations for Chhath Puja

A large number of people from the eastern regions and Bihar celebrate Chhath in Delhi. Significant crowds gather around the Yamuna ghats and various water bodies during this festival. Therefore, special attention will be given to the management of ghats, cleanliness, lighting, and facilities for devotees.

Responsibilities Assigned to Ministers and Legislators
