Weather Update for Delhi

On Friday morning, Delhi recorded a warm start with a minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather agency has forecasted the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kilometers per hour, with gusts potentially hitting 50 kilometers per hour.


According to IMD data, the minimum temperature at the Palam weather station was noted at 24.6 degrees Celsius, while Lodhi Road recorded 25.8 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the Ridge area saw a minimum of 24.3 degrees Celsius, and Ayanagar reported 25.6 degrees Celsius. The department anticipates partly cloudy skies throughout the day, with maximum temperatures expected to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.


Air Quality Index in Delhi

As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 160 at 9 AM, categorizing it as moderate. The AQI scale ranges from 0 to 500, where values between 0-50 are considered good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor, and 401-500 severe.
