She emphasized that the government has taken steps to ensure that pilgrims do not face any difficulties during their journey. Addressing a gathering, Gupta stated, 'Whether it’s financial support, sanitation, or the supply of electricity and water, the Delhi government has made sure that the maintenance of Kanwar camps is up to standard.'
She added, 'Just like last year, we have made every effort to ensure that our devotees do not encounter any issues this year as well.' The Delhi government has already approved a proposal to increase financial assistance for Kanwar committees for the 2026 pilgrimage. Under the cabinet's decision, financial aid for Kanwar camps, which span over 20,000 square feet and are held for six to twelve days, has now been raised to ₹1.5 million.'
