Tija Festival Celebrated in Delhi

New Delhi, August 8 - Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the 'Tija Mahotsav' organized by the Delhi Tourism Department at INA Delhi Haat on Saturday, celebrating the festival with women and other attendees. She emphasized that such events play a crucial role in promoting folk culture among the younger generation and fostering a sense of harmony and belonging within society. The Chief Minister remarked, “Tija is not just a festival; it is a celebration of our rich cultural traditions, family values, and women's empowerment.”

This two-day festival is taking place on August 8 and 9 at Delhi Haat and Pitampura. Its aim is to showcase women's empowerment, love for nature, and traditional values while connecting residents and tourists with Indian culture. The venues have been decorated based on special themes to provide visitors with an engaging cultural experience. She added, “Platforms like Delhi Haat play a significant role in showcasing Delhi's folk arts and cuisines.”
