Weather Alerts Issued for Delhi

Following significant rainfall in the national capital and surrounding areas, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'Yellow Alert' for Delhi on Friday. The forecast indicates that light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected in the Delhi-NCR region in the coming hours. According to the IMD's 'Yellow Alert', there is a likelihood of moderate rainfall, and residents are advised to remain 'cautious'. This alert also suggests the possibility of waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Meanwhile, parts of Rajasthan experienced heavy rainfall on Friday, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas of Ajmer, Kota, and Pushkar. The weather department reported that the highest rainfall of 17 centimeters was recorded in Sangod, Kota, while 11 centimeters was noted in Pilibanga, Hanumangarh. A red alert has been issued for several regions in the state, including Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bundi, Kota, Tonk, and Pali, where heavy rainfall is anticipated. Additionally, an orange alert has been declared for Baran, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi, Udaipur, and Nagaur, indicating very heavy rainfall.

For Himachal Pradesh, the weather department has issued an orange alert predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in various parts of the state on July 21 and 23. Due to the heavy rains, 250 roads have been closed across the state. According to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), 181 roads in the disaster-affected Mandi district, 26 in Sirmaur, and 23 in Kullu district are currently inaccessible.
