India Successfully Tests Agni-4 Ballistic Missile in Odisha

Successful Launch of Agni-4 Missile

New Delhi, August 6 - On Thursday, India conducted a successful test of the medium-range ballistic missile, Agni-4, from the Integrated Test Range located in Chandipur, Odisha. This missile, capable of carrying nuclear weapons, was tested by the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Ministry of Defence announced, “The successful test of the Agni-4 missile took place on August 6 from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha.”

The ministry further stated, “All operational and technical parameters were successfully validated during this test.” The launch was carried out under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO and SFC for the successful test of the Agni-4 missile. In a social media post, he expressed, “I congratulate the SFC and DRDO for this remarkable mission launch, which reaffirms India’s commitment to defending the nation with advanced technologies.” The range of missiles from Agni-1 to Agni-4 spans from 700 kilometers to 3,500 kilometers.
