Deepender Singh Hooda Urges Special Parliament Session to Tackle Terrorism Post-Pahalgam Attack
Call for Action Against Terrorism
Bhubaneswar: On Thursday, prominent Congress figure and Member of Parliament Deepender Singh Hooda advocated for a dedicated session of Parliament aimed at formulating strategies to eradicate terrorism, particularly in light of the recent Pahalgam incident and the subsequent Operation Sindoor.
Speaking to the media after participating in the 'Jai Hind Sabha' organized by the Congress to commemorate the bravery of the armed forces during Operation Sindoor, Hooda emphasized the need for urgent discussions.
He stated, “We urge the Union government to convene a special parliamentary session to deliberate on the future approach to eliminate terrorism following the ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan.”
Additionally, Hooda called for the government to clarify US President Donald Trump's assertions regarding his role in facilitating the India-Pakistan ceasefire.
He proposed that Parliament should pass a resolution to honor the armed forces, reinforcing national unity in support of the soldiers.
“This will send a strong message globally that our nation stands united behind our courageous military personnel,” he remarked.
The Congress party held the 'Jai Hind Sabha' in various locations across the country on the same day.
