World Environment Day Celebrations at DAV Public School

DAV Public School in Gohju marked World Environment Day with enthusiasm, focusing on raising awareness among students about the significance of environmental conservation.


The event included a range of interactive activities. Students engaged in poster-making, slogan creation, poetry recitals, and awareness initiatives. The youngest participants from LKG and UKG recited poems and conveyed important messages about maintaining clean and green surroundings.


Pupils from Classes I to III displayed their creativity by crafting appealing planters and decorative pieces from recycled plastic bottles, reinforcing the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Their inventive projects illustrated how waste can be repurposed into valuable items.


A thought-provoking play titled “Save Plants to Save Earth” was performed by students of Class VI, highlighting the essential role of trees and plants in preserving ecological balance and supporting life.


During the event, the Principal encouraged students to take on the responsibility of becoming eco-conscious citizens by planting trees, conserving resources, and adopting sustainable practices in their everyday lives. He urged everyone to regard nature as a nurturing force and to actively participate in its preservation.


The program wrapped up with a collective pledge to protect the environment and collaborate for a greener, cleaner, and healthier future.
