In Jaipur, a shocking incident occurred in the Jhotwara locality where a young woman allegedly made off with a box containing gold rings valued at approximately ₹20 lakh. According to reports, she entered the jewelry store posing as a customer. Seizing the opportunity, she fled with the box of rings, but the jeweler and his staff managed to chase her down for about 500 meters before apprehending her. The entire episode was captured on CCTV.

Young Woman Visits Store Under Pretense

The incident took place at Bhawani Jewelers located on Nivaru Road in the Lakshmi Nagar area of Jhotwara. Reports indicate that the woman arrived at the store around 11:45 AM and requested to see some gold rings.

The jeweler presented her with a box containing around 25 gold rings. While she examined the rings, the jeweler became occupied with another customer.

The Bold Escape

As soon as the jeweler's attention shifted to the other customer, the young woman swiftly grabbed the entire box of rings and dashed out of the store. The suddenness of her actions left everyone inside the shop stunned.

Without hesitation, the jeweler and his employee immediately began pursuing her.

Chase and Capture

After the woman fled, the jeweler and his staff chased her down. They managed to catch up with her after a pursuit of about 500 meters, retrieving the box filled with jewelry.

Following the incident, she was handed over to the Jhotwara police. Images and CCTV footage related to the event have also surfaced.

Police Investigation Underway

According to reports, the police have begun interrogating the young woman and are investigating the entire incident. Some reports suggest that she was found in possession of chili powder and a chemical spray, although details vary across different accounts.
