Arrest of Dance Teacher Following Assault Allegation
A 45-year-old dance instructor has been apprehended after a three-year-old boy reported being sexually assaulted during a summer camp organized by the teacher. The accused, identified as Jitendra Dulani, had arranged a two-day camp for approximately 20 children.
After the camp concluded, the child informed the police that Dulani had taken him to a dark area, stripped him of his clothes, and assaulted him. Upon returning home, the child expressed experiencing physical discomfort, prompting further inquiry from his parents.
When asked about his teacher, the child revealed the details of the incident. Following this revelation, the parents confronted Dulani, leading the Vitthalwadi police to conduct a midnight operation that resulted in his arrest.
The operation was spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sachin Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Amol Koli, and Senior Police Inspector (PI) Anil Padwal. Subsequently, Dulani was presented in court and placed in police custody for five days. Authorities are now gathering testimonies from other children who attended the camp to ensure no additional victims were affected.
Another Assault Case in Ulhasnagar
In a separate incident, a 23-year-old man was arrested after a minor boy accused him of sexual assault in a public restroom in Ulhasnagar. The suspect, named Amit, is a local resident. According to police reports, the assault occurred after the victim used the public toilet.
Once home, the boy disclosed the incident to his mother. Alarmed by their child's experience, the parents promptly visited the police station to file a First Information Report (FIR) under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
