The Tibetan community in Dalhousie is preparing to celebrate the 91st birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on July 6. The festivities will commence with prayers and a traditional smoke puja, followed by a series of cultural events including cake cutting and dance performances. Dignitaries such as Smt. Asha Kumari and Shri Anil Kumar Bhardwaj will grace the occasion, sharing reflections on His Holiness’s teachings. The celebrations will extend over three days, fostering community spirit and cultural bonding.

The Tibetan community in Dalhousie is set to joyfully commemorate the 91st birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on July 6. The celebrations will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with prayers and a traditional smoke puja, establishing a spiritual atmosphere for the day.


The event will be attended by notable guests including Chief Guest Smt. Asha Kumari (Former Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh), Guest of Honor Shri Anil Kumar Bhardwaj (SDM Dalhousie), Special Guest Shri Mayank Sharma (DSP Dalhousie), Smt. Vandana Chadda (President, MC Dalhousie), Shri Ramesh Kumar Chauhan (Tehsildar Dalhousie), and Dr. (Capt.) G.S. Dhillon (President, Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society), among other dignitaries.


The program will include cake cutting, lively traditional dance performances, and the distribution of souvenirs. Both the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor will share their thoughts and well-wishes, reflecting on His Holiness’s teachings of peace, compassion, and unity.
