The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dalhousie Cantonment, J. Ashiq Hussain, is being widely recognized by local residents for his commitment to enhancing civic amenities and driving development initiatives within the cantonment.
In a significant move to bolster educational resources, CEO Hussain, alongside nominated member Vinod Mahajan, convened a high-level meeting with Rajiv Bhardwaj, the Member of Parliament for the Kangra-Chamba constituency.
The agenda of the meeting included:
- Modernization and comprehensive enhancement of educational infrastructure in Dalhousie Cantonment.
- Securing funding for the proposed new school building under the Cantonment Board.
- Accelerating pending educational projects through central government schemes and the MPLAD (Member of Parliament Local Area Development) fund.
Both CEO Hussain and Vinod Mahajan appealed to the MP for his support and intervention in these initiatives.
MP Rajiv Bhardwaj listened carefully and expressed his commitment to providing full support, highlighting that education and healthcare are crucial for comprehensive regional development. He promised to take prompt action to secure the necessary approvals and funding for the proposed educational reforms.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to collaborate for the successful implementation of educational enhancements.
It is important to note that Ashiq Hussain took office just a few months ago, yet his proactive measures in improving civic facilities and development projects have already garnered the respect of the residents of Dalhousie Cantonment.
