Cycling Team Visits Noorpur Public School

NURPUR: A spirited cycling team from the 26 Punjab Battalion, part of the Headquarters Western Command of the Indian Army, reached Noorpur Public School today as they embark on a remarkable 1,040 km journey to honor the 40th anniversary of Operation Pawan.

The cycling group received a warm traditional welcome from School Director Arvind Dogra, Principal Anmol Dogra, and enthusiastic faculty and students, who waved national flags in celebration.

During the reception, Team Leader Captain Anish expressed heartfelt thanks to the school community for their generous hospitality. He elaborated on the expedition's challenging route, which traverses Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab, including demanding high-altitude areas like Keylong at 11,000 feet. Captain Anish shared motivational insights on military discipline, teamwork, and the importance of physical fitness. He encouraged students to embrace values such as patriotism, self-discipline, and commitment to national service, inspiring them to explore potential careers in the Indian Armed Forces.

Both School Director Arvind Dogra and Principal Anmol Dogra praised the team's endurance and patriotic spirit, noting that interactions with Army personnel significantly influence the character and national dedication of young individuals. The event concluded with the presentation of mementos and engaging discussions between the army team and the students.
