Police Action in Cyber Fraud Incident

In a recent incident in Azamgarh district, a police constable has reported a case of cyber fraud involving an unknown operator from a Mumbai-based company. The police disclosed this information on Wednesday.


According to the authorities, a complaint was lodged at the Rasra police station on Tuesday by Antlesh Kumar, a resident of Pachhua village. The complaint was directed against the unknown operator of Tata Click Fashion E-Commerce, based in Mumbai, under Section 66D of the Information Technology Amendment Act.


Antlesh Kumar, who serves as a constable in the Azamgarh police department, stated in his complaint that he received a link from the Mumbai office of Tata Click Fashion E-Commerce via Telegram on his mobile phone.


Trusting a well-known company like Tata, he invested a total of ₹543,836. However, when he attempted to withdraw his funds due to an urgent need, he found that not only was he unable to access his money, but his account had also been closed. Police Station Officer Yogendra Bahadur Singh confirmed on Wednesday that the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
