In a recent social media update, Ronaldo shared that he made the decision to leave the training camp after a discussion with the FPF president. He mentioned that he would disclose the reasons for his exit 'in due course' and expressed his best wishes for the national team and his fellow players.

"After the national team's press conference and a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have decided to leave the national team training camp. I will share the truth about my departure with the Portuguese people in due time. For now, I wish Portugal and all my teammates the best of luck," Ronaldo stated on Instagram.

Confirmation from the Portuguese Federation

The Portuguese Football Federation has confirmed Ronaldo's exit from the training camp in Copenhagen. In their statement, they noted that the remaining 24 players will continue their preparations for the upcoming matches against Denmark and Norway, maintaining focus on their goals.

"The Portuguese Football Federation announces that Cristiano Ronaldo has left the national team's training camp in Copenhagen. Preparations for the matches against Denmark and Norway, the latter to be held at Estádio do Dragão, will proceed as scheduled, with the remaining players fully committed to the national team's objectives," the FPF stated.

Coach's Comments on Ronaldo's Bench Time

Following the match against Norway, where Ronaldo did not play, Coach Jorge Jesus remarked that it 'wasn't the right moment for Cris to come on,' indicating that the match's circumstances influenced his decision.
