Bulandshahr, July 15: In a tragic turn of events, two individuals lost their lives and two others sustained severe injuries following a financial dispute that escalated into violence in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, as reported by officials on Wednesday.

The confrontation took place in Nizampur village, falling under the Sikandrabad Police Station's jurisdiction. Authorities indicated that the altercation arose from a disagreement over a monetary transaction, which quickly led to a clash between two factions.

According to police reports, the conflict began when Uttam Sharma, a local resident, engaged in a dispute with an individual named Prashant regarding financial dealings. The argument rapidly intensified, drawing in members from both groups in Nizampur.

What started as a verbal disagreement soon turned physical, with firearms reportedly being discharged, resulting in a violent encounter between the opposing groups.

During the chaos, Ajab Singh, aged 45, was shot by members of one faction and tragically died at the scene from his injuries.

In a retaliatory act, police stated that members of the opposing group deliberately drove a vehicle into Sonu, also known as Sunil, aged 40, resulting in his immediate death.

Additionally, two other individuals, Arvind and Ratan, were injured by gunfire and are currently receiving medical attention.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dinesh Kumar Singh noted that the investigation suggests the violence stemmed from a financial disagreement that escalated into a fatal confrontation.

"What began as an argument escalated into a physical altercation, leading to gunfire. Ajab Singh was killed in the shooting, while Arvind and Ratan are being treated for their injuries," he explained.

SSP Singh also mentioned that Sonu was reportedly struck by a vehicle during the incident, resulting in his death on the spot.

"We are in the process of identifying all individuals involved, and stringent legal measures will be enforced," the SSP confirmed.

In the aftermath of the incident, personnel from three police stations, along with senior officials including the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Meerut Range, the SSP, the SP City, and the Circle Officer, arrived at the village to assess the situation and oversee the investigation.

Ongoing investigations are in progress, with further updates expected soon.
