Shillong, May 10: A Hanuman temple located in the Garikhana area of Shillong was reportedly vandalized by unknown individuals who made off with idols, silver jewelry, ritual items, and cash after disabling the CCTV cameras.

Details of the Incident

The break-in occurred around 1 AM within the jurisdiction of the Lumdiengjri police station, raising alarms among local residents regarding security measures and nighttime patrols in this bustling area.

According to law enforcement, the perpetrators accessed the Hanuman Mandir by forcibly opening a side entrance before ransacking the temple.
