Fatal Accident on National Highway 52


Jaipur: A tragic accident on National Highway 52 in Rajasthan's Sikar district resulted in the deaths of six women and left three others with serious injuries. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening near Harsawa village in the Fatehpur sub-division when a car returning from Raghunathpur collided head-on with a speeding truck, according to police reports.


The vehicle was severely damaged in the crash, as confirmed by Station House Officer (SHO) Surendra Degda. The victims have been identified as Santosh, Tulsi Devi, Mohan Devi, Indra, Asha, and Chanda, all hailing from the Fatehpur region.


Three additional passengers in the car suffered critical injuries and were extricated from the wreckage by local residents and police. They were subsequently transported to the government sub-district hospital in Fatehpur, and later referred to Sikar for more advanced medical care due to their serious conditions.


All individuals involved in the accident were occupants of the car. The collision caused significant traffic delays on NH-52 for approximately thirty minutes, leading to long lines of vehicles in both directions. Authorities arrived at the scene to clear the wreckage and restore normal traffic flow.


The deceased have been placed in the mortuary at the Fatehpur government sub-district hospital pending post-mortem examinations.
