Hapur News: The saying goes, 'Hobbies can be costly,' and when they exceed one's means, they can lead to criminal behavior. A shocking incident occurred in the Indralok Colony of Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, where a brother-sister duo, along with a friend, executed a burglary at the home of a timber trader, driven by their desire for a luxurious lifestyle, branded clothing, and expensive mobile phones. The police have apprehended the three suspects and taken them into custody.

Initially, the siblings would scout homes for potential targets. On March 24, chaos erupted at the residence of timber trader Kuldeep Goyal when his mother and wife, Monika Goyal, left for a brief visit to the ancient Siddh Peeth Chandi temple. During their absence, unidentified thieves broke into their home, stealing eight lakh rupees in cash and a significant amount of gold and silver jewelry. Upon returning, the women were shocked to find their home ransacked.

Investigation and Arrests

Case Filed Against Unknown Thieves

Based on the victim's complaint, a case was registered against unknown thieves, and the police began their investigation. They reviewed nearby CCTV footage, gradually tightening the net around the suspects.

Shocking Revelations During Police Investigation

During the investigation, a startling revelation emerged. The mastermind behind the burglary was Esha Gupta, a neighbor and friend of the trader's wife. Esha frequently visited Kuldeep's home, which allowed her to discover the secret location of the house keys. She devised the theft plan with her friend Shalini, who in turn involved her brothers, Akash and Mannu, in the scheme.

Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended Esha Gupta from Indralok Colony, Shalini from Gangapura, and Akash from the same area near the Doyami Danhora bypass. The police recovered stolen gold and silver jewelry, 11,000 rupees in cash, an Aadhaar card, and a bank passbook from their possession. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to working in makeup and henna for weddings but chose the path of theft to fund their expensive hobbies.
