Meerut, Oct 9: A disturbing case has emerged from the Lisadi Gate police station area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where a man has accused his wife of drugging him with a sedative in his coffee, leading to a violent attack on his private parts with a knife.
The victim suffered severe injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital by his relatives, where medical staff performed surgery to control the bleeding and are working to repair the damaged area.
Reports indicate that the altercation arose from suspicions regarding the husband's alleged affair with another woman.
The injured individual, residing in Zaid Garden, claimed that his wife had doubts about his fidelity. The couple does not have children, and he alleged that she feared he was planning to marry someone else.
As per the complaint, after a heated argument, the wife purportedly added a sedative to her husband's coffee, causing him to lose consciousness. Once incapacitated, she allegedly attacked him with a knife, inflicting multiple wounds.
Upon hearing his screams, his mother and sister rushed to the scene, but the accused had already fled the house. They then transported the injured man to the hospital for urgent care.
The man has filed a formal complaint against his wife, leading to her arrest by the police, who are currently interrogating her regarding the incident.
Circle Officer (CO) Kotwali Sangram Singh confirmed that the attack occurred on October 8, when the woman allegedly assaulted her husband due to her suspicions of infidelity.
A case has been registered following the complaint, and the woman is in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities are looking into the details surrounding the incident and will take further action based on their findings.
