Coach's Reflection on Rinku's Father

Masood Uz Zafar Amini, Rinku's coach, shared his thoughts on the loss, stating, "I learned that Rinku Singh's father passed away this morning. He had been hospitalized in Noida. Rinku's Commitment Amidst Grief

Following his father's deteriorating health after India's first Super 8 match against South Africa, Rinku returned home to be with his family. However, he quickly made his way back to Chennai to rejoin the Indian squad for the upcoming match against Zimbabwe.

Despite his return, Rinku was not included in the playing eleven for the Zimbabwe match, as the team opted for Sanju Samson to open alongside Abhishek Sharma.

Throughout the World Cup, Rinku's performance has been inconsistent, scoring only 24 runs in five innings, with a top score of 11* and remaining unbeaten twice.

In 10 T20I matches this year, he has accumulated 115 runs across eight innings, averaging 28.75 with a strike rate of 132.18, and his highest score being 44*.

Upcoming Matches

The Indian team is set to head to Kolkata for their final Super 8 match against the West Indies on Sunday. The winner of this match will advance to the semi-finals alongside South Africa from Group 1.
