Rising COVID-19 Cases in India
Instances of COVID-19 are on the rise once more across the nation. The virus is quietly spreading, with the latest figures indicating that India has recorded 4,302 new cases. To date, the pandemic has claimed the lives of 44 individuals in the country. Regions such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and West Bengal have reported multiple infections. The increasing trend of COVID-19 cases has prompted various state governments to issue guidelines aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.
State-Specific COVID-19 Statistics
According to health department data, Kerala has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases, totaling 1,373. The state has also seen nine fatalities attributed to the virus. In Karnataka, there are currently 324 active cases, while Tamil Nadu has 216. Delhi has reported 457 active cases, with five deaths recorded. Uttar Pradesh has documented over 200 cases, with 201 still active and two fatalities. Rajasthan has 90 cases and one death.
COVID-19 Situation in Other States
In West Bengal, there are 432 active cases, and the death toll stands at 44. Additionally, Uttarakhand and Telangana have reported two and three cases, respectively. Punjab has 12 active cases, with one death linked to the virus. Other states like Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh have reported 22, nine, six, and one case, respectively. Fortunately, Arunachal Pradesh has not recorded any cases. In Gujarat, there are 108 cases, with one death, and the number of active cases in the state has risen to 461. Patients are being treated in various hospitals, while some are receiving care at home.
