Rising COVID-19 Cases in India

India is witnessing a resurgence in COVID-19 infections, with the latest figures indicating a total of 4,302 cases. The virus is quietly spreading across the nation, leading to a total of 44 fatalities attributed to COVID-19. Regions such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and West Bengal have reported multiple new cases. In response to the increasing numbers, various state governments have issued guidelines aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.


State-wise Breakdown of COVID-19 Cases

According to health department statistics, Kerala has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country, with 1,373 confirmed infections. The state has also seen nine deaths due to the virus. In Karnataka, there are currently 324 active cases, while Tamil Nadu reports 216 active cases. Delhi has identified 457 active cases, with five fatalities. Uttar Pradesh has over 200 confirmed cases, with 201 currently active and two deaths reported. Rajasthan has recorded 90 cases, resulting in one death.


COVID-19 Situation in Other States

In West Bengal, there are 432 active cases, and the death toll has reached 44. Other states like Uttarakhand and Telangana have reported two and three cases, respectively. Punjab has 12 active cases, with one death attributed to the virus. Madhya Pradesh has 22 cases, Jharkhand has nine, Jammu and Kashmir has six, and Himachal Pradesh has one case. Fortunately, Arunachal Pradesh has not reported any cases. In Gujarat, there are 108 confirmed cases, with one death, and the number of active cases in the state has risen to 461. Patients are being treated in various hospitals, while some are receiving care at home.
