Judicial Custody Granted in Dowry Harassment Case
A court in Bhopal has ordered the judicial custody of Samarth Singh, the husband of former model Tvesha Sharma, along with his mother Giribala Singh, for 14 days following their remand period by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on charges of dowry harassment.
Tvesha was found deceased on May 12, hanging in her in-laws' home in Bhopal.
According to Ankur Pandey, the lawyer representing Tvesha's family, the CBI presented Samarth Singh and his mother, a retired district judge, Giribala, before the Shobhana Bhalave court after their remand period ended. The court has ordered their custody until June 16.
On the day prior, the CBI conducted a reenactment of the crime scene at Tvesha's in-laws' residence, utilizing a dummy to investigate the circumstances surrounding her alleged suicide.
Officials stated that forensic and crime scene experts accompanied the CBI to the location, where they requested detailed accounts of the events that transpired on the night of May 12 from Samarth and Giribala.
