A surprising incident has emerged from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh. An additional district and sessions judge issued a notice to a court employee last week due to an unusual occurrence on May 30, when the employee served stale snacks to the judge during a court session.

The notice indicates that the incident took place during the lunch break while the judge was in the room waiting for refreshments. The employee was asked to bring tea and biscuits, but instead of the biscuits, he only served tea along with stale dalmoth, which reportedly had a foul odor.

Following this incident, the judge expressed suspicion that the employee may have acted intentionally. It was noted that there were several biscuits available in the cupboard where the food items were stored. Consequently, the employee received a notice requiring him to explain his actions.

The notice detailed that on May 30, 2025, during lunch in the judge's rest room, a civil judge named Sharmistha Sahu visited. The judge had requested tea and biscuits, but the employee only brought tea. The employee has been asked to provide an explanation by May 31, 2025, at 10:30 AM regarding this deliberate error.
