As per CBC, it has been alleged that several senior officials of Cricket Canada were involved in misconduct related to administration, team selection, and other matters. The most shocking claim is that the Bishnoi gang influenced cricket administrators and player selections for key positions.

Reports indicate that a member of the national team was threatened with severe consequences for failing to look after a specific player. This incident reportedly took place at a restaurant in Surrey, British Columbia.

In July 2025, around 25 cricketers who had recently returned from a major provincial tournament gathered at a restaurant in Surrey, British Columbia. Two players from the tournament approached a table where a star player from the Canadian national team was dining with another group. Sources claim that they represented the 'Bishnoi gang.'

According to reports, they warned the star player that if he did not assist a young player named Dilpreet Bajwa and another player from the men's provincial and national teams, he and his family would face dire consequences. It is believed that this intimidation led to Dilpreet Bajwa being appointed as the captain of the Canadian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
