Engineers Caught in Bribery Sting in Rajasthan

In a significant anti-corruption operation in Rajasthan, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a junior engineer and an assistant engineer from the Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) while they were accepting a bribe of ₹50,000.


Officials disclosed this information on Friday. According to the bureau, junior engineer Abhishek and assistant engineer Mohit Katiyar were caught red-handed receiving ₹50,000 from a complainant.


The bureau's statement indicated that a complaint had been lodged alleging that the two engineers were demanding ₹90,000 in bribes for issuing a meter for a solar plant under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Grah Yojana and approving the subsidy. Following the verification of the complaint, the team successfully apprehended both individuals while they were accepting the bribe.
