Escape and Recapture of Govindachami

In a startling incident, Govindachami, who is serving a life sentence for the 2011 murder of Soumya in Kerala, managed to escape from the high-security Kannur Central Jail on Friday. However, law enforcement swiftly launched a search and apprehended him within a few hours.


Footage aired on television showed the convict being captured near a dilapidated building in Thalap, located within the limits of Kannur city. Notably, Govindachami is missing his left arm.
