Controversy Erupts Over Allegations of Fourth Marriage by Local Leader

In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a woman residing in the Kotwali police station area has accused her husband, Haji Khalil, of entering into a fourth marriage. Haji Khalil, reportedly a leader of the Samajwadi Party, is said to be around 70 years old and has recently married a 20-year-old woman, who is 50 years younger than him. Following this, his second wife filed a complaint at the police station, seeking justice for herself and her daughter from the authorities.

The wife has also provided CCTV footage showing individuals attacking their home with sticks and damaging the surveillance cameras. She claims that her husband is a domineering and irresponsible person, posing a threat to her life. She has three children, including two daughters and a son, and states that her husband has not assisted them in their marriages, leaving her daughters unmarried.

Daughter Appeals to CM Yogi

The 24-year-old daughter of Haji Khalil expressed her disappointment and embarrassment over her father's actions, noting that he has married a woman younger than her. She highlighted the disparity in rights for women in Islam, where men seem to have more freedom.

Police Investigation Underway

Authorities are currently investigating the matter. According to police officials, there is also an ongoing property dispute related to this case. Legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty after the investigation.
