Controversy Erupts as KRK Apologizes to Yogi Adityanath
KRK's Apology on New Year's Day
On the very first day of the year, Kamal Khan, popularly known as KRK, found himself in hot water after making a controversial post about Yogi Adityanath. Following backlash, he has since issued an apology. It appears that KRK did not take the time to verify the facts before posting about such a prominent figure. Acting as a movie critic, he hastily shared a post that led to significant uproar. Subsequently, he deleted the post and quickly sought forgiveness from Yogi.
FIR Filed Against KRK
Despite his apology and the removal of the misleading post, an FIR has been lodged against KRK at the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. This action was initiated based on a complaint from Rajkumar Tiwari, a resident of the Narhi area in Lucknow. Tiwari accused KRK of sharing false information that hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community and aimed to tarnish the image of the Uttar Pradesh government. In his complaint, he stated that a fake newspaper clipping was used to attribute a false statement to Maharaj Ji (Yogi Adityanath), which he deemed an attempt to defame him and incite anger within the Hindu community. The police have now registered a case against KRK under the provisions of the Information Technology Act.
KRK's Commitment to Caution
In his apology post, Kamal Khan expressed that upon realizing the news was fake, he promptly deleted the post. He also mentioned his intention to be more cautious in the future.
