Details of the Case
The deceased has been identified as Kasni Bai Gurjar, aged between 40 and 45, from Panotia village. According to her family, she was admitted for surgery on Tuesday morning, with the procedure taking place later that evening.
Family members claim that after the operation, the woman complained of chest pain late at night. Her condition worsened by Wednesday morning, prompting the hospital to refer her to Udaipur. However, they allege that she passed away en route, suggesting that the hospital was attempting to cover up its negligence.
Protests Erupt
Demonstration with the Deceased's Body
Following the woman's death, her family and villagers staged a protest outside the hospital, laying her body on the ground. The demonstration lasted for about four hours. Local police and Rajsamand DSP Netrapal Singh arrived at the scene to manage the situation.
A dialogue took place between the hospital management and the family in the presence of authorities, leading to an agreement that allowed the protest to conclude. The family consented to the autopsy process.
